Britton Mason Hawk grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with honors, in 2003.  She attended University of South Carolina School of Law and graduated in 2007. While in law school she earned the distinction of being inducted into the Order of the Wig and Robe, and was a member of the Trial Advocacy Bar. 

Upon graduation, Ms. Hawk worked for several years at a large corporate defense firm in Charleston, after which she opened her own firm in order to practice family law.  Ms. Hawk joined Bluestein and Douglas as special counsel in 2016, where she represents clients in family court on such issues as separation and divorce, child custody, visitation, relocation, child support, adoption, and contempt of court. 

Ms. Hawk served for several years on the Board of Directors for the Charleston Animal Society, is a 2010 graduate of the Leadership Charleston program, and currently serves on the Parents Advisory Council for the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry.

We are a Family Law firm, meaning we help clients with divorces, custody disputes, support matters, and other cases in Family Court. Our cases are mostly in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley Counties, but we also have cases in Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and other counties.

Both Natalie Parker Bluestein and Jane Nussbaum Douglas are certified to practice Collaborative Law. If you and your estranged spouse have talked about trying to handle your case amicably, Collaborative Law may be what you are looking for. We maintain a list of other attorneys in the area who are certified in Collaborative Law for you to give to your spouse after you have met with us, so that the case can proceed collaboratively. Natalie Parker Bluestein is a Certified Family Court Mediator. She mediates cases for unrepresented litigants and for litigants who are represented by other counsel.
